Hi Remy, This is great. Congratulations on finishing your graduate studies!
Yes, please share with us "A Tribute to Fair Use". And, "Hacking for Humanity: Increasing participation in Humanitarian Free/Open Source Software Development through Random Hacks of Kindness Global Hackathons" is a great topic for us, please share the link with us. Is there a written post about this as well you can share? Thanks! - Jen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Remy DeCausemaker" <[email protected]> To: [email protected], [email protected], "Jason Hibbets" <[email protected]>, [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, May 8, 2013 12:18:54 PM Subject: Re: Osdc-list Digest, Vol 33, Issue 1 OSDC, Funny you should ask about a graduation post... I was selected as the Graduate Delegate for my College at Rochester Institute of Technology, and I am putting together my speech now. As I am an advocate of FOSS, I will be putting together my speech entitled "A Tribute to Fair Use" which is going to be roughly 500 words. I will certainly share it with you folks once it is complete. Prior to that, I will be defending my Capstone Research as a presentation next Wednesday (5/15) at 7pm. The subject of my research is "Hacking for Humanity: Increasing participation in Humanitarian Free/Open Source Software Development through Random Hacks of Kindness Global Hackathons." I am working with my students to make a live stream available, or at the very least a video recording of the talk. http://rhok.org has agreed to share my research, visualizations, and live stream on their site. I will also provide OSDC with the link if you folks are interested. Hope these all help, and I look forward to getting back on my blogging game, once my graduate studies are complete. Looking Forward, --RemyD.
