This concept made me think of: *Telescope -- An open-source social news app built with Meteor*

I think part of being able to best generate conversation is by making the ability to browse the conversations, and then participate, as easy as possible. Look at the success of reddit.

From CodeVisually (http://codevisually.com/telescope/)
Telescope, built with Meteor, is an open source application for creating social news websites in the same vein as Hacker News and Reddit. Here are some of its features:

    Real-time
    Password-based and/or Twitter auth
    Notifications
    Mobile-ready & responsive
Invite-only access for reading and/or posting
    Markdown support

Hi everyone!

Last week we published an "Open Thread" article with the goal to generate conversation around a specific topic. We published another one this week, and hope to continue doing so each Thursday if the idea catches on.

We'd love for our community to jump in and get the conversation going. And if you'd like to author an "Open Thread" article or send us topic ideas, please let us know.
