New to ORO; what happened to Perl5StreamInput?

I see from the old ORO 1.0 documentation that there is/was a
Perl5StreamInput class for processing from a stream.

In the new package I see the AwkStreamInput, but it seems that the matching
functionality from the old package is not there.

All help/clarification appreciated.
