Body: The Broadband Forum is pleased the share our latest published work, which
may be accessed directly through our online technical library
(https://www.broadband-forum.org/technical-library/).

MR-530: Cloud Native Broadband Networking
CloudCO 2.0 expands this vision by further developing Cloud Native Broadband
Networking that covers the entire end-to-end operation of broadband network
domains. This comprehensive approach spans Customer Premises, Transport, and IP
Edge networks, along with robust interactions with various business domains. By
leveraging cloud-native software, disaggregation and containerized platforms,
CloudCO 2.0 introduces several innovative features and network-as-a-service
capabilities that support novel applications and significantly enhance the user
experience.

TR-403 Amendment 1: PON Abstraction Interface Specifications
For flexible and agile service adaptation at a low cost in the next-generation
optical access system, a new system architecture, which is based on SDN/NFV
technologies, should be required from operators’ point of view. The most
promising way to pursue the new architecture is disaggregating PON functions to
functional modules with open interfaces. This Technical Report defines the time
critical interface described in TR-402, “Functional Model for PON Abstraction
Interface.”

TR-369 Amendment 5: User Services Platform (USP)
TR-369 is the full USP protocol specification, providing a means for multiple
controllers to simultaneously manage and control remote devices deployed by
service providers to customer premises locations, while applying appropriate
access controls to each controller.

TP-469 Amendment 4 Corrigendum 1: Conformance Test Plan for USP Agents
The TP-469 specification provides the test cases required to verify if a USP
Agent is conformant to the USP protocol specific (TR-369). This test plan is
used as the basis of the Forum’s USP certification program.

TR-181 Issue 2 Amendment 20 Corrigendum 1: Device Data Model for CWMP Endpoints
and USP Agents
The Device:2 data model defines the full information model that is used for the
management and control of devices through both the TR-069 and USP protocols,
such as the configuration, management, and control of multiple AP Wi-Fi
systems, software management within the residential gateway devices, and bulk
data collections of telemetry data.

TR-106 Amendment 16 Corrigendum 1: Data Model Template for CWMP Endpoints and
USP Agents
The data model template provides the foundational structure for the TR-181
Device:2 data model, ensuring consistent structure and approach to the design
of the data demo.

TR-495: Smart SD-WAN Architecture and Node Requirements
TR-495 defines the architecture of Smart SD-WAN. The scope of this project
includes the following working items: Smart SD-WAN scenarios; Architecture and
components of Smart SD-WAN; Attributes of Smart SD-WAN, including tunnel,
protocol and so on; Coordination with other systems including underlay network,
computing resources and clouds; Work with other SD-WAN products such as MEF
SD-WAN, and vendor proprietary SD-WAN systems; Service functionality visible to
the Subscribers.

MR-531: Autonomous Networking in CloudCO
This white paper briefly explains how BBF has built in the past years the
foundation for AN to thrive in the broadband network resources (/management)
domain as witnessed by the many Technical Requirement (TR) specifications such
as TR-411 (CloudCO interfaces), TR-436 / TR-486 (Automated Intelligent
Management - AIM - architecture and interfaces), USP/TR-369a5. But it also
gives some insight on standardization activities currently going on in BBF
“Provider Cloud” Work Area (WA) that takes the AN principle even further such
as: WT-528 (broadband service intents) building further on the intent work done
in TM Forum, WT-508 (broadband network data collection also known as
telemetry), the updates being made of BBF CloudCO architecture (WT-384i2),
Inventory and Topology (WT-454i2) and AIM revised specifications.

The Broadband Forum encourages our partner SDO’s to review these materials, to
ensure work their progress references these latest materials and avoids
duplication of efforts. We look forward to the continued collaboration with our
peers as we all continue to progress this important work.

Sincerely,
Lincoln Lavoie,
Broadband Forum Technical Committee Chair
