We would like to introduce a Hachathon project on IPFIX for Source Address Validation (SAV) information. Please joint the discussion with us at table #5, if you are interested in IPFIX telemetry and/or SAV :). The related draft is https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-cao-opsawg-ipfix-sav/. This draft introduces new SAV Information Elements (IEs), designed to be exported via IPFIX, providing richer telemetry for SAV events. In this hackathon project, we will design and implement a demo that showcases the application of SAV IEs via IPFIX templates, to provide operators with more valuable SAV enforcement context, e.g. which SAV rule(s) triggered the drop, the validation mode applied, and the action taken to spoofed packets. We also would like to demonstrate how to encode SAV rules in the form of the structured data type 'SubTemplateList' introduced in [RFC 6313]. We welcome comments and suggestions. Thank you.
