Greetings developers!
The new release is just around the corner and I will be the release
manager. This will not require any action from your side but there are
two things that can help me streamline the process.
The first is a github Milestone for the release. PRs marked with the
milestone will be prioritized (right after bugfixes) to be included in
the release. Please bear in mind that the objective of the release is to
create a stable branch of the code.
Secondly, if you have a feature or a model that should be tested for the
release, please mention it in the issue 6965
<https://github.com/OPM/opm-simulators/issues/6965> for collecting the
testing suggestions. It is intended mostly for features and models that
are used less often and are not a part of the standard testing suite but
any suggestions are welcome.
The planned schedule for the release is:
* 10.4. Release branch is created and the testing starts.
* 17.4. Finished testing of the first release candidate.
* 20.4. (Optional) Second release candidate is created. (Other
candidates can pop up organically.)
* 30.4. Deadline for finalizing the release.
