Hi everyone,

I am hereby starting to offer a public beta free Monitoring-as-a-Service for
Federated XMPP Domains. The full description of the service and instructions
to make use of it are available on the website:

   https://observe.jabber.network/

In short, this makes use of the previously announced XMPP Blackbox Exporter
and offers geographically- and AS-redundant blackbox monitoring and alerting
of XMPP domains. Alerts are sent via email with Prometheus Alertmanager
running on, at the moment, two independent sites.

Anyone with a federated, non-spammy (see website for details) domain can
apply.

In addition, we are still looking for more accounts to send XEP-0199 pings
from. Please see the website for details on that, too. This could help us
improve the accuracy and usefulness of the service.

The goal is to help operators improve the availability of their domains from
other domains and for clients.

Feedback is, as always, welcome.

kind regards,
Jonas
