That should really be ok. Although I would advice against using an administrator account for that use. Creating a really unpriviledged user for that task would be the best solution. But for initial tests it is ok. With jxplorer (http://www.jxplorer.org/) you should be able to access your AD-LDAP, too if you connect using those credentials. You might check this, too. > But the software doesn't read users and/or groups out of my AD. Did you also change the two dropdown selection gadgets below to "secondary LDAP-directory" ("sekundäres LDAP-Verzeichnis") and "read existing data of users and groups" ("Vorhandene LDAP-Benutzer- und Gruppendaten auslesen")? After that you should be able to get the users and groups in the manager. > Can someone please give a "dummy-proof" howto for first start of > connecting openthiinclient to a domain and configuring one thinclient to > boot from the openthinclient server? It really should not be more. If you are not succeeding, please send me a private email and we could set up a shared remote session and have a look at it if you agree... -- Bye, Tobias Abt levigo systems gmbh ----------- ein unternehmen der levigo gruppe Max-Eyth-Strasse 30 Telefon: 07031 / 4161-10 D-71088 Holzgerlingen Telefax: 07031 / 4161-11 Geschäftsführer: Oliver Bausch http://systems.levigo.de/ Registergericht: Stuttgart HRB 245 180 USt-ID: DE813226078 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The NEW KODAK i700 Series Scanners deliver under ANY circumstances!
