I'm trying to get the proprietary drivers working for a Radeon R9 270 in
openSUSE 13.2 GNOME. Both GNOME and KDE perform poorly w/the OS drivers,
and the proprietary drivers worked in oS 13.1. KDM/KDE do well with
these drivers, but GDM and GNOME don't even function, both giving the
dubious "Oh no" dialog at the start. I'd like to get back into GNOME;
KDE is kind of a strain on the eyes for a GNOME user like myself. I'm
not sure where to trace this, or even what to look for. I have the
official gnome-shell, 3.14.3. Is this GPU just not supported anymore?
Grateful for any tips.
