Thanks a lot for your tests and your findings about the bug only appearing on 32bit systems. I managed to identify the bug by now and fix it; It's been submitted back tot he devel project.
The whole work is tracked in boo#900782 ( https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=900782 )
