OpenSSL is in the final stages of a *massive* cleanup of the manpages. Many of
them are nit-level things, bringing them into conformance with common style, as
expressed at http://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man7/man-pages.7.html

There is on notable difference: openssl uses a mix of UK and US spelling –
favouring initialize and such instead of favoring initialize and such. Most
manpages, and the link above, recommend US spelling. You can see the start of a
discussion on this at https://github.com/openssl/openssl/pull/10079 While I
respect the Commonwealth’s impact on SSLeay and OpenSSL :), I believe the right
thing is to follow US style as everyone else does.

I am asking the OMC to discuss, decide, and vote on a policy.
