That's not my experience, I specifically use JQuery with LL's built in browser, and it works fine, almost. :) I do use my own custom Ajax code because I have had problems with JQuery's Ajax and LL's browser. But overall most of JQuery works fine in Webkit. It's best to use a Webkit based browser for testing, like Safari or Chrome. (although chrome is now changing to something new, so best to find an older version of chrome if you go that way).
