I tend to agree with you Argent. Just a simple replace is fine. While the tools I mentioned seem to all support the "/me" syntax, and may even specially highlight such messages, I'd rather that they didn't.
In actual chat I don't find myself using "/me" a lot, whether in SL or out. However, I DO use it in LSL extensively.
