Hi all. I'm running Osol snv_134, and plugged in my Sony dsc s40
cybershot digital camera via usb, and it didn't appear on my desktop.
Unplugged and replugged the usb into another slot, still not showing up
-- I opened up the media folder and it wasn't there either. I checked
the device driver utility, and it shows up showing driver: scsa2usb with
a description of Sony Corp. DSC-S30/ S70 / S75 ...
So as far as I can tell, it has a driver available and installed on the
system -- so I opened gtkam and asked it to scan and it found nothing, I
used the drop-down and selected the correct device and selected 'apply'
and it said: no cameras detected.
Do I need to install something or enable a service or something for my
camera to be recognized and be able to pull some pictures from it? Since
I'm dual-booting with Fedora 13, I can get them off on there if I have
to, but it'd be nice to have it work in Open Solaris, too.... Thanks!
Cia W
