I am trying to set up Solaris such that GRUB and subsequent Solaris boot
redirects the output to the serial console. With previous versions of Solaris
this worked beautifully. All I did was to add the following lines to menu.lst:
serial --unit=0 --speed=115200
terminal serial
(The number 115200 is a function of the terminal speed.)
Then I also had to comment out the SPLASH image
# splashimage /boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
But when I did the same with Solairs 2009.06, the system fails to boot at all,
it just cycles, trying to reboot over and over again.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
