1)Not exactly a question,from my previous two posts:
I can boot all my systems from Linux,now.
I suppose there is some incompatibility booting from OSolaris to Logical
volumes.
The system recognizes my DVDwriter Samsung SE-S084,now.
2)Doing a find / -name "filename" OSolaris takes much more than with Linux to
output
a result.Although the command being formally the same,the "substance" is
probably not
due to the differences in filesystems(ZFS,EXT3,EXT4).So,any hints why that?
3)Is there any method to convert in OSolaris snoop dump files to
tcpdump/libpcap
format?I was unable(so far) to compile the Bro IDS on OpenSolaris(it stops in
the make stage).Anyone have tried that?
4)As I read from pkg man page regarding the repositories,the server validates
the client
certificate,but the inverse is not necessarily true.So,it seems some points for
man in the middle attacks are possible.Anyway,the OpenSolaris team seems to be
working on "per package" signature validation for IPS.
