The correct question to ask here is this : IF pkgadd was made open source AND the sources were easily available as a download in the past THEN why were they made no longer *easily* available ? That is the question that I have. Regardless of what people may think, the pkgadd tool works and the SVR4 package spec works from Solaris 8 upwards. It isn't elegant and blah blah blah but it works.
