Dear friends, I delight in announcing that Ben Cotton has agreed to become an Open Organization Ambassador.
Long-time and regular readers of Opensource.com will surely know Ben. He's been one of the site's community moderators for years, and since joining the community has racked up more than 4,000 points (!!) for his participation and contributions [1]. Ben begins his term as an ambassador with gusto. We published new writing from him just today, as a matter of fact. Previously, Ben has contributed thoughtful pieces on transparency [2] and remote work [3] in the open organization, and he's already lining up a series of articles we'll release throughout the year. As Program Manager of the Fedora project, Ben brings to the ambassador community a wealth of knowledge about open organizational nuance and dynamics (you're bound to develop that kind of expertise from assisting one of the most prominent open source software projects with its globally dispersed operations). He's also a prolific speaker and tweeter [4]. Ambassador Hilliger apparently likes trolling him [5]. You can learn more about Ben at his personal site, Funnel Fiasco [6].
