Hi folks,

With much joy, I'm writing to let you know that Heather Leson has agreed
to become an Open Organization Ambassador. Heather works at the
International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, where
she is the data literacy lead. As part of that work, she's especially
focused on ways she can help her organization—and humanitarian
organizations all over the world—achieve their missions by leveraging
the power of open principles.

You might recognize Heather's byline from Opensource.com, because she's
been writing for several years.[1] You may also have run into her
excellent work in the Open Street Map community, which she details in
the _Open Organization Workbook_.[2] It's just one of the many pieces on
open communities that she's written. You can read more of her work at
her blog, Text on Techs.[3]

Hailing from Geneva, Switzerland, Heather brings to our group an
infectious passion for better understanding the way thinking and working
openly can improve people's lives.[4] I'm excited to see what we'll
accomplish together.

Welcome, Heather!

Sincerely,
Bryan
