We stay in the 2.5 LTS branch. 2.6 is more of a Dev Branch if I understand it correctly.
2.5 is the current LTS release. 2.6 was the new 'feature' branch. It may become the next LTS. I've personally run it in production at a high volume 100% uptime environment for over 2 years.
