Hello,
There is work underway for a new release of cyrus-sasl 2.1 series that
offiicially supports OpenSSL 3.0. One issue that has been encountered is
that there is no remaining supported cipher algorithms in the cyrus-sasl
DIGEST-MD5 implementation, which used the historic rc4/des or 3des, when
compiling against OpenSSL3.
The general question for this list is, is there anyone who is still using
the historic SASL DIGEST-MD5 mechanism and would not be able to move to a
secure SASL mechanism such as SCRAM?
Thanks!
