Hello,

Thanks for all your helpful answers.

Actually the work around was simple: in a mate-terminal window, in the menu line select "edition", then "profile" then edit default. There, disable colours of system theme and choose black as text colour. Background color may remain ivory.

And the mate-terminal is again usable. It is really more comfortable than good old xterm...

Best regards

Marc

Hello,

I updated my system today and I am now checking if the apps work fine and the first problem I found is with mate-terminal: it starts but I just get a black window under the menu line.

If I start it manually from xterm I get the following messages, but I do not know if they are related to the problem. I'm using a FR-BE keyboard.

Does anybody see what's wrong ?

Thanks in advance

Marc
