Hi
As I am currently running the nvidia-470 driver, I wondered if
downgrading to nvida-390 using the method list below would resolve the
issue
|#beadm create nvidia-390 #beadm mount nvidia-390 /tmp/nvidia-390 #pkg
-R /tmp/nvidia-390 uninstall nvidia-470 #pkg -R /tmp/nvidia-390
install nvidia-390 #beadm activate nvidia-390 #init 6 |

Unfortunately while the driver downgrade worked, lightdm goes into
maintenance so can not check if this has fixed the issue.
Any suggestions on how to proceed to get lightdm working

Hi Russell!
I can confirm this behavior on my machine with nvidia-515:
$ /usr/lib/xscreensaver/hacks/glhanoi
glhanoi: unable to allocate memory for floor display list
The other programs in directory hacks don't show an error, but only show
a black window, no content :-/
BTW, do you use 30bit color depth, 10bit per color RGB?
$ grep -i depth /var/log/Xorg.0.log
[ 67.312] (**) NVIDIA(0): Depth 30, (--) framebuffer bpp 32

Stephan
