Thanks for the feedback. I have actually had awesome experiences with RDP on Linux, FreeBSD, and Windows (of course) as the protocol provides the notion of "channels" and thus supports things like file sharing and remote mapping, USB channels, Audio & Webcam channels, and many other things just to name a few.
My understanding about the RBF (VNC pathway) is that it is very limited when it comes to these types of additional features within the remote client, but then again I have not used VNC in a good while and it may have advanced significantly.
