In regard to: [OpenIndiana-discuss] VirtualBox 6.0.6 with VNC extension...:

VirtualBox 6.0.6 is now available in the hipster repository.

Apart from general fixes
(https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Changelog-6.0), this update brings two
new features.

I haven't tried it yet, but it probably also includes the pulseaudio fix
from 6.0.4.2

Yes, and it works!

Thanks for testing Predrag.

With best regards.

P.S. Just have installed 6.0.6 and not sure if we have to execute:
:; pfexec VBoxManage extpack install --replace /opt/VirtualBox/ExtensionPacks/VNC-x.y.z.vbox-extpack

every time when VBox is upgraded? If yes, this then might be automated during install?

That's actually a tricky thing. Yes, to be on the safe side, one should always run the command with virtualbox update, however, the rate of changes to VNC is minimal, so, practically, it's quite safe to do it only for major version changes.

I thought about doing it after installation, but as far as I know, we don't have scripting hooks in IPS, so, one off SMF service seems to be the right approach?
