Michal,

Thanks for answering my questions.  I am glad to hear that OpenIndiana will be
picking up the bhyve changes in the near future.  Moreover, I am excited at the
prospect of bhyve development kicking into higher gear.  It is a good and
relatively well designed tool under FreeBSD.  I tried using kvm under hipster
last week and it was quite slow.  I understand that there has been no
development for a while so it is understandable.  Right now I am just happy
using VirtualBox.

Hello,

I read last night that bhyve has been added to illumos. Specifically omniosce
and smartos are said to have it in their latest releases. Is it in the latest
hipster 2018-04 release? I tried finding it as a package system/bhyve and it
did not come up.

Hello Rasaki,

bhyve port is not upstreamed to illumos-gate yet. As it's work of
Joyent, you can find it in recent releases of SmartOS and in
soon-to-be-relesed OmniOSce as they are leaning to joyent-illumos gate.
Once is bhyve integrated to illumos-gate, we will have it in OpenIndiana.

Michal
