I have just tried to update OpenIndiana Hipster and have the following

Hi.
These are old package versions. Both of them should be updated (to later
versions) to coexist.
Current gdm version is
system/display-manager/[email protected],5.11-2016.0.0.5:20160816T172935Z,
xterm version is terminal/xterm@318,5.11-2016.0.1.2:20161029T155151Z .
You'd likely want to find out, why your system doesn't want to update to
the latest version.
Likely this package conflict is just an indication of some other issue.
