Hullo, slightly off topic: in case people are interested in HPC, Fujitsu announced a month ago that they are moving from SPARC64 to ARMv8 for their next supercomputer:
https://www.top500.org/news/fujitsu-switches-horses-for-post-k-supercomputer-will-ride-arm-into-exascale/ Since power efficiency is the main issue for Exascale this somehow makes sense. Their SPARC64fx series used in the K-Computer (Top500 #5) was a very neat piece of work as they developed the ACE instruction set for HPC. Also I just found out that TIanhe-2 (Top500 #2) used OpenSPARC processors, Galaxy FT-1500, for login nodes; compute nodes being based on Xeon + Xeon Phi.
