I don't think Jobs particularly wanted to sell servers and high-end Unix
workstations.  He had already tried that with NeXT, and it didn't work out
all that well.  That market can easily turn into a money pit because of
competition from cheap PCs running Linux.  Not that they're the same
product, but explaining to people why they aren't is tricky.
