Don't know if somebody mentioned it before, but the MicroServer's internal drive bays use SAS connectors and they are all plumbed into the motherboard using a single SFF-8087 connector, so if you get an internal SAS HBA into the PCI-e x8 slot on the server, you can just unplug the SFF-8087 from the motherboard and plug it into your HBA.
