Well, no. The xorg-video package is "A group package that provides
all of the available Xorg video drivers for a given platform". It's not
Xorg itself. The simplest way round this would be to uninstall xorg-video,
which wouldn't actually remove any files, just the dependencies.

Correct - it's just a simple way to install all the drivers for things like 
install
images & live cds that don't know which drivers will be needed.
