Hello Michael,
a few detailed hints from poor user to poor user will follow tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. I will explain you how you can get a HP x86 SAS card for 10$, flash the right fcodes, patch /etc/driver_aliases on the Boot-DVD (no worries, the OpenSXCE DVD already contains the right entries in /etc/driver_aliases). And then you can attach up to 8 internal SAS devices, including hdd's up to 2047GB and DVD'drive(s) or what you like. Currently I'm in a hurry. ISO files: The CD.iso file already exists. It would fit on a normal CD-R, even a 650MB one. But as it still contains minor glitches I didn't release it on January 30th. There is also a USB mage, but untested. Also this would only work on newer SPARC systems that do have USB2.0 onboard. All these things will be explained later. Right now I'm here on the run. Today there is not enough time ... Tnx for your interest. And be lucky that you have a Blade 1000/2000. It is one of the most reliable systems ever built for any architecture. It was also OpenSXCE's primary build machine. rgds. %martin _______________________________________________ OpenIndiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss
