His format print shows the model number "WD30EFRX" which is a WD Red 3TB drive for sure (my drives show "WD20EFRX"), so unless WD mislabeled and misflashed 8 drives at the same time, I highly doubt the drives would be lying about their platters. > 2) Is it possible that for some reason these disks use an MBR > partitioning table instead of GPT?
