Hello! If I understood correctly prtconf -v output shows mpt_sas drive has discovered that IBM TS3100 has connected to IBM SAS HBA controller. IBM SAS HBA controller driver under openindiana is mpt_sas. IBMtape driver uses mpt_sas driver to communicate IBM TS3100 device. IBM Tape Device Drivers Installation and Users guide http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=ssg1S7002972&aid=1 This documentation does not give very good guidelines how to troubleshoot IBMtape driver. I will try to send a longer prtconf -v output if possibele. Many thanks for your help. I will try to recreate the device links.
