Hello list, I've run a home server/workstation from the OS days all the way through to OI 151. Sadly the motherboard expired last week (venerable Asus M2N-SLI) which did for it. I decided a hardware refresh was in order, and rather over-enthusiastically procured an Asus P8B-WS (Intel C206 chipset), plus a low-power Core i3 to match. Unfortunately I wasn't able to confirm hardware compatibility, although anecdotal evidence suggested I would be OK.
Needless to say, the Device Driver Utility reports 3 missing drivers (all UNK): - Intel 82801 SATA RAID Controller - Intel Cougar Point HECI Controller #1 - Unknown class of pci/pnpbios device Fortunately I have an Intel SASUC8I card in the machine, so I can continue talking to hard disks, but it's a bit sad to have a SATA3 SSD that I can't plug into a SATA3 port. From the reading I've done, I'm given mixed impressions: either the Intel AMT driver should work, but it's already installed and apparently doesn't, or there's simply no driver, nor is there likely to be. Can anyone shed any light? I realise it's my own fault for grabbing a new board without checking compatibility, but if there's any sort of solution I'd be really grateful. Thanks all, Dave _______________________________________________ OpenIndiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss
