Hi,
I recently installed VirtualBox 4.0.8 onto my laptop running Ubuntu
11.04 so I could run some legacy Windows stuff in Windows XP & 7. I used
to administer a couple of Sparc+Solaris servers many years ago, so
decided tolook at what OpenSolaris was like on a VM, and as that seemed
to work, thought I'd see what OpenIndiana was like. OpenSolaris
installs, with guest additions, and it updates. OpenIndiana installs,
works with the OpenSolaris guest additions, but I cannot run any updates
from the package manager - says it cannot update live image.
So, is there something simple I'm missing? I don't need to spend lots of
time on this, as it was only out of interest I installed it, but it bugs
me if I see something not working quite right.
Also, is there some way of selecting to install LibreOffice, rather than
OpenOffice?
