Agreed. If this really is an issue we could do something like:
DEFAULTLIBFEATURES = "xxx"
DEFAULTLIBFEATURES_libc-uclibc = "yyy"
DISTRO_FEATURES_LIBC ?= "${DEFAULTLIBCFEATURES}"
