Hi all, We've finally merged the Improved Upgrade Process project into the pi branch. As part of this project, two main new functionalities are available in Openbravo:
• New rebuild window: the old rebuild window (that is used to apply modules, or to upgrade Openbravo Core), has been replaced by a new one, which is designed to show only the information relevant to common users, in an easier, friendlier way. This new rebuild window will show the main rebuild steps, and it will also show whether there were warnings or errors on each step, and if the build was completely succesful in the end. If you still need the old log for any reason, don't worry, you can view it by clicking on the "Show log" button. • New safe.mode property: there is a new property in the Openbravo.properties.template file, called "safe.mode". If this property is activated, the system will not allow users without a System Administration role to log in if the last rebuild didn't finish correctly, and will warn users with System Admin priviledges that there were problems in the last build. If you want to see additional details on the project (including one screenshot), you can go here: http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/Projects/Improved_Upgrade_Process The new window is available right now on the pi branch. We've throughly tested it these last weeks, but there might still be some corner cases which do not work. If you find something strange, please post it here: http://forge.openbravo.com/plugins/espforum/view.php?group_id=100&forumid=549512&topicid=7006745 Thanks in advance for your help.
