All, some time ago we prepared a new ant task (smartbuild) to make it easier to build openbravo from source code. It takes care of all details (instance status, changes in code, environment, etc.) to do the smartest possible build (eg. it will skip generate.entities if no change has happened in data model, it will only generate code for modified windows, etc.). I strongly recommend to read Development Build tasks [1] documentation to learn more about it.
Asier Lostale announced it through this mailing-list some time ago but my feeling is that still few people are using it. Using smartbuild you will build your system in the fastest and safest way you can do it. But it should be widely used to make it rock solid.
