Hi guys,

you might look at illumos-gcc at 
https://hg.openindiana.org/sustaining/oi_151a/oi-build/file/9657657d2cd0/components/illumos-gcc/Makefile
There is a Makefile, which downloads stuff directly from github. It is not a 
git clone, but it gets the job done.
