As discussed at grow at the IETF123 the preferred method for the upcoming Peering API is to use the RPKI for OAuth - primarily because pinning a standard on PeeringDB is generally considered a bad idea. This is implement in draft state in draft-blahaj-grow-rpki-oauth: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-blahaj-grow-rpki-oauth/ I appologise for the current brevity of the draft, I know there's still more to be specified. What currently exists is a nicer rewrite of my notebook into I-D form. I would however, once everyone has got back home from the IETF, like some opinions on this draft. Early opinions on what I've done wrong/right would be extremely helpful; before we stray off into a standard nobody likes. For some context, the reason for the indirection between the RPKI and OAuth is the issue raised by certain (who shall remain nameless) large enterprises about the difficulty of giving their IdP access to the RPKI; hence some indirection to separate business concerns.
