As irritating to me is when a space is not an allowed character in the password. I can only guess it’s to make some back-end process less painful, or just lazy programming….

I won’t name the companies that I’m aware of in the investment and finance industries, but I know for a fact that they don’t care if your password is case sensitive, they will accept upper or lower case for an individual letter.
