Iv9eni commented on PR #2098:
URL: https://github.com/apache/zookeeper/pull/2098#issuecomment-1890083510

   > @Iv9eni My comment here was _not_ an invitation for you to try to reach
out to me on Facebook or other social media for private conversations,
especially after I pointed out that I did _not_ need to be tagged on this at
all. Please respect other people's boundaries. Contacting somebody privately on
their personal accounts after they publicly told you they didn't need to be
contacted at all, feels like a huge breach of proper etiquette. You do not need
to tag people individually, and you do not need to reach out to people
individually and privately on their personal social media accounts. If you wish
to engage an open source community at the ASF, beyond merely creating a PR or
issue, you can do so by subscribing to, and emailing their mailing list, which
can be found on the community's website, and using that to communicate to the
community as a whole.

Hey, I messaged you privately because your Facebook profile was linked on
GitHub. I wasn't trying to disrespect peoples boundaries as you have your
social media accounts linked here. I do admit I should have looked for a more
acceptable way to ask a question (like finding that mailing list) instead of
jumping into contributors profiles.
