Sylwester Lachiewicz commented on THRIFT-1620:
----------------------------------------------
Apache Impala carries its own C++ SASL transport stack in
[be/src/transport/|https://github.com/apache/impala/tree/master/be/src/transport]
({{TSasl}}, {{TSaslTransport}}, {{TSaslClientTransport}},
{{TSaslServerTransport}}, about 50 KB with headers). That's the kind of code
this ticket would move into lib/cpp. The Java library has had SASL transports
for years, and THRIFT-6206 proposes one for Go, so C++ is the remaining gap
among the three.
