@ethan-l-geotab I see that CI is looking good again after your rebase,
thanks! I think this part of the thread is the crux of whether we merge it now
or not. Is getting/using the response from the PUT call doable? If so, that
does seem like the more elegant approach, but if not, I have no personal
objection to fixing the bug with the current approach.
