<!-- Answer --> In Superset, regular users do not have the ability to manually assign roles or permissions, including 'datasource access on' permissions, to datasets they create. This capability is typically reserved for super admins or users with elevated permissions. As a result, if the 'datasource access on' permission is not automatically assigned to a dataset upon creation, the dataset may not appear in the dataset list for the user, even though they are the creator and can access it directly.
