I had the same issue, turns out that the default nodejs version on Ubuntu is way too low. Was v12.something. After upgrading to v20.something, it worked fine for me. I also did the npm install/npm run build part, but I am not sure that was still necessary -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
