@FreeAndNil i'd like to update you with the latest About first observed issue, intermittently missing zips when overriding `AdjustFileBeforeAppend()`, we believe that the `fromFile` is is being used by another process when trying to zip it, but we could not really reproduce the problem. We have implemented a zip-retry mechanism. About the second issue, missing zips when starting the app after crossing a date boundary, we have build an adaptor on top of log4net that zips when crossing a date boundary. In conclusion, we are fine for now and do not directly depend on log4net improvements. These log4net improvements can continue on their own pace. A structural log4net solution to 'missing zips when starting the app after crossing a date boundary' is still great to have, but not urgent anymore for us.
