I can't see any reasons for any objection to posting all of tonight's
online chat to the group, so here it is:

can you tell people what Proxmox does, for those that haven't used it?

You to Everyone 7:42 PM

   - I was using Myth TV to record TV. Nice, but there are problems, e.g.
all videos are stored in the same directory. File names are like the
internal channel number, date and time recorded. No reference to what it is
unless you go through the interface, or query the database. (And if you
ever have a working instance, you don't want to mess it up by doing a major
   MythTV update.)
   - I was using Plex to watch the MythTV recordings on the TV, but they
stopped allowing plugins, i.e. how Plex interfaced with MythTV. So Plex
   pissed me off.
   - I looked for an alternative and found Emby. Paid for a perpetual
   license.
   - If I didn't already pay, I would probably use Jellyfin to make my TV
recordings now, which is an open source fork created when Emby went to a
   pay model.
   - Oh, and the recording source is a HDHomeRun.
