Sigh,

Off on a great junket. Will have an extra day in Seattle next week and the thought occurred that there is the Living Computer Museum, founded by Paul Allen, that houses the very CDC 6500 upon which I learned assembler. Alas, COVID has closed the museum for the time being.

To think that there was great rejoicing at Purdue in 1988 when the "plug" was pulled on the CDC 6500. Just like there was great rejoicing in 1976 or 77 when the IBM 709n computers were removed.

And so it goes
